Snowplow

Snowplow is a leading customer data infrastructure platform that enables organizations to collect and operationalize rich, high-quality behavioral data across all digital platforms. By providing tools for data collection, processing, and modeling, Snowplow allows businesses to gain deep insights into customer behavior, fueling AI-driven marketing, digital products, and personalized customer experiences. This project encompassed a complete design overhaul, a platform migration from WordPress to Webflow, and the integration of advanced features to empower Snowplow’s marketing team. The initiative was driven by the need for a more agile, user-friendly, and cost-effective web solution.

The Challenge

‍

The project presented several significant challenges:

‍

Extensive Content Migration: Transferring over 400 pieces of content—including blog articles, event listings, webinars, and guides—from WordPress to Webflow without data loss or disruption.
SEO Preservation: Maintaining the existing site hierarchy to ensure that search engine rankings and organic traffic remained unaffected post-migration.
Custom Feature Development: Implementing bespoke functionalities that are not natively supported by Webflow, necessitating custom coding solutions.
GDPR Compliance and Analytics Integration: Ensuring full compliance with GDPR regulations and integrating Snowplow’s own tracking technology to monitor user behavior effectively.

‍

The Solution

‍

To address these challenges, our team adopted a strategic and methodical approach:

‍

Design Revamp: We collaborated closely with Snowplow’s leadership through four iterative design versions to achieve a modern, cohesive aesthetic that resonates with their brand identity.
Structured Content Migration: Utilizing filtered exports, we meticulously migrated the extensive content library to Webflow’s CMS. We adhered to the original WordPress hierarchy to preserve SEO integrity, ensuring that URLs and metadata remained consistent.
Custom Coding Solutions: For features beyond Webflow’s standard capabilities, our developers crafted custom code to deliver the desired functionalities, enhancing the site’s interactivity and user experience.
SEO Optimization: Conducting thorough SEO audits, we identified underperforming pages. Strategic redirects were implemented to guide users to relevant content, thereby improving search performance and user engagement.
Template and Modular Section Development: We designed multiple landing page templates and modular sections with dynamic content capabilities, granting the marketing team flexibility and ease in creating new pages.
Compliance and Analytics: Achieved full GDPR compliance and seamlessly integrated Snowplow’s tracking technology to enable comprehensive user behavior analysis.

‍

The Results

‍

The project culminated in several notable outcomes:

‍

Cost Efficiency: Transitioning to Webflow significantly reduced hosting expenses and minimized the need for ongoing developer involvement.
Empowered Marketing Team: With user-friendly templates and modular sections, the marketing team can now independently create and manage content, accelerating campaign deployment.
Enhanced User Experience: The redesigned website offers a modern, intuitive interface that reflects Snowplow’s innovative spirit, leading to improved user engagement.

‍

This collaboration not only revitalized Snowplow’s online presence but also equipped their team with the tools and autonomy to adapt swiftly in the dynamic digital landscape.
